Trainspotting

Not so long ago, before Ewan McGregor learnt to use a light sabre, this movie was the one that became his big break. It's a good watch, and the label on the DVD cover isn't kidding when it warns about offensive material. Of course, it's all cool if you're not the conservative prude type of person :P

The most memorable scene in my reckoning is the one where Renton picks up a girl at some club and follows her home for a shag. She chases him out of the bedroom afterwards though, and our "hero" ends up sleeping on the couch. Next morning, he wakes up to the smell of food and finds a middle-aged couple sitting down to breakfast. Renton gets invited to join them, and soon after the girl from the night before shows up for breakfast - in her school uniform mwahahahaha

Of course Renton tries to do the right thing and stops seeing the under-aged girl, but she just won't go away. If you like the so-called "real life" movie genre; if you are keen on dark humour and if you can stomach sick jokes, this movie is a must-watch. Look out for the scene known as "worst toilet in Scotland".
